Why don't you do 'sales'?

There are three reasons I don't do sales;

  1. Creating Quality - my stock might be small, but each piece is exceptional and unique and not contributing to fast-fashion and mass-production.
  2. Creating Value - prices represent the genuine value without inflated markups
  3. Creating Confidence - knowing the prices remain so you can take your time choosing the right piece for you, without feeling like you will miss out

How do I get my ring size?

To measure your finger size accurately, you can use a simple ring sizer, which can be ordered online or purchased at most jewellery stores.

Alternatively, you can wrap a piece of string or paper around your finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length with a ruler and compare it to a ring size chart.

For the most accurate result, measure your finger at the end of the day when it's at its largest, and avoid measuring when your hands are very cold or swollen.

If you're still unsure, visit a local jeweller for professional sizing assistance

How should I care for my jewellery?

Caring for your jewellery is key to keeping it looking beautiful for years to come.

To maintain its shine and integrity, remove your pieces before engaging in activities that may expose them to harsh chemicals, moisture, or physical impact, such as swimming, cleaning, or exercising.

Clean your jewellery regularly using a soft cloth to remove oils and dirt, and store it in a safe, dry place - preferably in a jewelry box or pouch to prevent scratches.

For more delicate pieces, consider periodic professional cleaning and inspection. By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your jewellery remains as stunning as the day you first wore it.

Do you accept returns?

Returns are accepted on in-stock jewellery within 30 days of purchase, if it is in the same condition it was purchased.

Returns are not accepted on custom pieces

Why only solid gold, silver or platinum?

Choosing to use solid gold, silver, and platinum for jewellery ensures lasting quality, durability, and authenticity. Unlike plated or gold-filled pieces, which can wear thin over time, solid metals maintain their value and integrity for generations.

Solid gold, silver, and platinum don’t fade or peel, meaning your jewellery will retain its beauty and shine without the risk of discoloration or damage.

Pieces are not only more durable but also heirloom-quality, designed to last a lifetime and beyond

What is Palladium-Silver?

Palladium silver is a unique alloy that combines sterling silver with a small amount of palladium, a precious metal from the platinum group.

This blend enhances the silver’s durability, making it more resistant to tarnishing and offering a whiter, brighter appearance than traditional sterling silver. Palladium silver also retains the same malleability as sterling, allowing for intricate designs, but with the added benefit of improved strength and longevity.

It’s a great choice for those seeking a high-quality, low-maintenance alternative to standard silver, offering a beautiful, lasting finish for your jewellery.

What is the difference between 9ct, 14ct and 18ct gold?

The difference between 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct yellow or white gold lies in the amount of pure gold mixed with other metal alloys.

9ct gold contains 37.5% pure gold, making it more durable and affordable, but with a slightly less rich color.

14ct gold has 58.3% pure gold, offering a balance between strength, quality, and price, with a warmer hue.

18ct gold, composed of 75% pure gold, is the highest standard of gold on offer at En Rouge, known for its rich color and luxurious feel, though it’s slightly softer than lower carat options.

Choosing between them depends on your preference for purity, durability, and budget.

Do you responsibly source metals and gemstones?

All gemstones and metals at En Rouge are responsibly sourced to ensure that products not only meet the highest standards of quality but also align with ethical and environmental values.

By choosing responsibly sourced metals and gemstones, we support the preservation of natural resources, promote ethical business practices, and provide customers with jewellery they can wear with pride, knowing it was created with integrity and care.

Is custom jewellery more expensive than a ready-made piece of jewellery?

Custom jewellery tends to be more expensive than ready-made pieces due to the personalised design process and the skilled craftsmanship involved.

When you opt for a custom piece, you’re paying for the time and expertise needed to bring your vision to life. From selecting the perfect materials to handcrafting each detail, the process is highly individualized and requires a level of precision and artistry that ready-made pieces simply don’t.

Additionally, the use of high-quality materials and one-of-a-kind designs adds to the cost, ensuring that your custom piece is as unique as you are.

Ultimately, with custom jewellery, you’re not just buying a piece—you're investing in a meaningful, tailored creation crafted just for you.

Can I use my own gemstones in a custom piece or do you do any remodeling?

Some clients have special gemstones they’d like to incorporate into their custom jewellery.

If you have a gemstone you cherish or have sourced independently, I'm happy to work with it to ensure that your stone is beautifully set to showcase its unique qualities while creating a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece.

Whether it’s a family heirloom, a stone with personal significance, or one you’ve found yourself, it will be handled with the utmost care and craftsmanship to bring your vision to life.
